Either way I had a great day with friends, all sober, saw many who were not, and felt bad, it just wasn't as glamourous as it once looked, or I thought I was. Thank God for sobriety, for the summer and for some relaxing times. I saw a lot of groups with the Marriage equality posters that have been a part of my every day life the last few months, I felt like all that work was worth it, sometimes I felt so alone, even in a crowded room. Today was the celebratory part of the job. Just for today......

Friday of Pride

So it is Pride weekend in New York City, may all have a great time, whether it be quiet and restful, or wild and partying, just have PRIDE in who you are...........

At work

Just found out I can write from work, this may be good, maybe not, but it gives me some more time to stay on top of this writing. It is a good day so far, if the rain would just stop.............

Hitting the Road

So just for the record, after all my blabbing on the work, the fun is coming, Rafa and I are going on vacation in a few weeks, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Amsterdam on Atlantis Cruise, can't wait.............

Telling my story

So once again my voice here seems to have been silent. I have been active.
We just had a great Statewide Conference where I sat on a panel discussing the issues of Marriage Equality, it was excellent. It was also very emotional, just being able to sit there and open up about My Heart story, it was in 3 sections, Head, Heart, Action. I spoke about the fact that Marriage Equality affects children who are GLBT and are now growing up here this fierce battle and saying to themselves, WOW, am I that bad, that I do not deserve equality, and when I grow up I can't marry the person I love. BUT, maybe they will be able to. That is why the fight must go on.
It just takes so much out of you that I do not feel like writing on the blog after all is done.
