Niall's Voice

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialists. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me- and there was no one left to speak for me.... Martin Niemoller

Join Us For Equal Rights

There are so many ways to help or get involved if you want to. I hope some of you go to the website and help us get Equal Rights. While some want to march, some can call a politicians office and just say "I voted for you and I want your support on this issue" Or you can send a postcard from your own city or state to the Obama Transition Team. Let them know that we are going to hold the politicians to their promises.
I am hearing from a lot of people, well with the economy, this is not a priority right now, I think equality is always a priority. Don't let the newly elected President forget why we sent him to Washington. As he said when John McCain ran to Washington in September, and stopped campaigning, a President should be able to do more than one thing at a time.
I am not minimizing the struggles we all face now, but we also have HOPE, that financially things will get better and lawfully civil rights will get right.

Niall's Getting Loud

I can't wait to get my next blog on about the Women's Conference I went to and the people I met. The movement in NYS regarding GLBT's rights is going to get loud and we will be successful. There was so much to take in that I have to put it in proper English, well proper for Niall anyway. I am so excited, I just can't hide it........................

My Voice - My Vote

I was happy to get up this morning at 5:40 and go to the Polls with Rafael, we were number 003 and 004, I once again used Niall's Voice, this time by turning a lever for Obama for President of the United States. We both felt very proud and happy to be voting together, for change and hope, and if for nothing else, to use our voice. God Bless America !
