Marriage Equality

So my Marriage EqualityResolution for GLBT's was consolidated with another resolution to go before the Delegate's convention in September, hopefully this will make for a better Resolution that will stand for a better chance of passing. As for the NYS Senate it looks like the Marriage Bill for GLBT people will be addressed in September, so hope still stands, maybe more so since it is taken away from the insanity happening in the Legislature at this point. Just a thought.

TGIF

So here we are, it is a beatiful Friday in NYC, and the NYS Senate has supposedly gone back to work. I wonder if they should have been punished for not adhering to the NYS Taylor Law, no job actions by Civil Servants. I don't think my boss would let me show up for 10 minutes and go back to my hotel or home. But, the more important issue is that will they now have the decency to pass Gay Marriage, I know they are right on the let's raise the sales tax issue, but no mention on Gay marriage.. I want to get married, can I get an Amen.......

Pride Sunday

I don't think you can really be proud of being gay because it isn't something you've done. You can only be proud of not being ashamed".-- Quentin Crisp I really like this, I never thought of it this way. Thanks Hellskitch........thanks Quentin Crisp...... Either way I had a great day with friends, all sober, saw many who were not, and felt bad, it just wasn't as glamourous as it once looked, or I thought I was. Thank God for sobriety, for the summer and for some relaxing times. I saw a lot of groups with the Marriage equality posters that have been a part of my every day life the last few months, I felt like all that work was worth it, sometimes I felt so alone, even in a crowded room. Today was the celebratory part of the job. Just for today......

Friday of Pride

So it is Pride weekend in New York City, may all have a great time, whether it be quiet and restful, or wild and partying, just have PRIDE in who you are...........

At work

Just found out I can write from work, this may be good, maybe not, but it gives me some more time to stay on top of this writing. It is a good day so far, if the rain would just stop.............

Hitting the Road

So just for the record, after all my blabbing on the work, the fun is coming, Rafa and I are going on vacation in a few weeks, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Amsterdam on Atlantis Cruise, can't wait.............
